Another "Nur" was born

Another "Nur"' was born..
Yes, that was exactly my husband's updates on his Facebook profile on 21st April 2011.
Alhamdulillah. I delivered a baby girl on that day, Thursday 21st April 2011 at 12:16 pm at Shah Alam Specialist Hospital, Section 19, Shah Alam.
One minute after baby was born. A relieved smile
Everything went smoothly. I went for regular check-up on my 38th week on Wednesday morning. I knew that I would be in labor anytime soon, but somehow surprised when my obg told me that i was already in 4 cm. no wonder the mild contraction i kept on having became stronger. So the obg told me to go home and relax, i'll be in labor very very soon. she expected by midnite, but if not, she asked us to come back tomorrow morning and admit.
The whole night was becoming more intense for me..no, not the contraction, but the nervous, the mix feeling of having to battle inside the labor room. i couldnt sleep well. i keep on waking up every hour, went to bathroom, checking if i had any "show" (or what i used to have before i had Lissa, a bloody show). but nothing. even the contraction, felt like a braxton hicks only..and very mild..
Tomorrow morning, waking up early, we sent Lissa to her babysitter, and went for breakfast. i ate a heavy nasi lemak dish and milo..a preparation for a battle.. went to Shah Alam Specialist Hospital's ward (aka Salam Medical Center), being admitted and waiting for midwife and my obg. The nurses set on the equipment to monitor the baby's heart, and we waited for an hour for the session. At approximately 10 am, the midwife came in and checked on the printing. She was surprised that i didnt have any contraction at all during the monitoring session. So she told that i might not be in labor any soon, but just to be sure, she had to examine me. Surprised!! I will be in labor very very soon. I was at 6 cm that time. In my mind that moment : i want all this to be over soon!
So, the procedure begun...i was directed to the labor room..oh, actually it was a standby room for labor room since both labor rooms were occupied by another patients waiting for delivery. Luckily the standby room is fully equipped with everything. The midwife broke my water, and asked us to just wait... that was when the history began.....
From 10:30 am up to 12:00 pm. the contraction escalated! The pain kept on going intense and more intense. i asked for the painkiller, and specifically asked not to give any epidural..they also provided me the gas.. it was a relieved but still... I am so lucky that my husband was with me all the time. Thank to him, to offer me a foot massage during the pain.. to offer me his hand for me to grab..(oh, sorry babe, i almost cracked ur fingers...)and after my 2nd push, there she was! so little and small.. 2.5 kg.. alhamdulillah..

How time flies..so fast that i thought i didnt have time to take a breath. it's like running a marathon, and now Lissa already reached her 18th month old.
Flipping through old pictures of her, i realized how fast she grows up. Thank Allah for the great daughter of ours.. though sometimes really makes her abah and mama tired, runnning around chasing her, or cleaning up after her mess.. we are happy.. and our family will be merrier with the newcomer, i believe will be very very soon.. insyaAllah.

A story of an inexperience doctor

Today i'm totally flat. have a meeting held at production line (just imagine me having to wear safety helmet walking along foundry production line, bringing my big belly across the factory..hehe)..then have to visit vendor to monitor their die progress which is supposed to be done by yesterday and complete production of parts by tomorrow. after a few excuses and excuses, saying that the location of the die maker is far (though it only took us less than half an hour to reach - kg delek kanan - yes, i havent heard of the place) and sort of excuses, we managed to reach the place and of course the die wasnt complete 100% yet. oh, im so tired of having to closely monitor suppliers - especially malay suppliers. macamn melayu nak maju kalau asek bagi excuses je.. penat dah nak tolong melayu, yet it hit us back, hard!
This is the last issue that i need to settle before i go for my maternity leave..i hope by next week... even tho i wont be in labor, but i want my gynae to give me mc- direct 1 or 2 weeks.. coz im so tired and tried to be strong - in order for my boss not taking me as a handicap worker during my pregnancy period. duuhhh! i believe he would secretly thought of his wife as handicap wife during her pregnancy period..huhu
Oh, forgot to mention, i did take a medical leave on monday - due to my level of laziness going so high - hehe.. i went to one of Proton's panel clinic, not choosing any doctor, they asked me to see this one doctor, whom i heard was so incompetent and young and inexperience. Right after i went inside her room, she asked me what's wrong. i gave excuse that i was having a flu and blocked nose (which was actually very minor). She then asked me whether i'm pregnant.. hello! cant you see my big belly?? i told her, yes i am! she asked me how many weeks. this was when i told her i'm in my 37th week, and she was shocked. she even asked me if there's any problem with my pregnancy, is it enough "air ketuban", is baby normal, just because i have a smaller belly than other moms. damn it! i hate it when doctors tried to diagnose their patient through physical appearance. come on! when i said i already went to my gynae and everything was ok, she then told me "oh, awak punya rahim ke belakang kot".. wut the hell?! sukati dia je nak diagnose mcm2. mcmn la dia bleh dapat title doctor.. eish eish.. in my mind at that time, wutever la doctor, asalkan aku dapat mc. huhuhu
So the morale of the story : to all doctors out there. please, please and please...dont judge your patient like you have a pair of xray-eyes , like you have extra ability to tell what's wrong - before you conduct any test. Please.. we as a patients paid you A LOT (yeah, ok, in my case, Proton paid a lot!) to you, doctors, so that you can cure us, diagnose us correctly and take us seriously. full stop. :)

The Visit to Mommy Nadia & First peek at Jakarta-Bandung Trip Pictures (Epsiode 1)

Yesterday we went to visit mommy nadia and her newborn. cute and adorable!! tapi sangat lah geram coz for the 1 hour+ visit, not even once he opened his eyes.. eish eishh..asek tido je budak kecik ni..hehe
But the great thing was watching Lissa and Adam played ball. At first Adam was very shy or can be mistakenly assumed a sombong boy, but then he warmed up with Lissa after she went to him few times and kacau2 with his laptop. After that, they started to kick and pass ball, riding the bike and all sort of games. When it was about time to go home, Lissa showed her satisfied mode playing with abang Adam. next time, ok dear?
Here are some pictures from our jakarta-bandung trip i managed to grab from cik Khai, aka maklang, my bro's fiance. I might update on the detail story line when i'm in my confinement leave..hehehe..

This is the apartment we stayed at Jakarta - Pondok Indah area (my brother and his fiance)

One family pix

Visit to Taman Mini Indah Indonesia (Lissa was super scared of the mascot..and oh, pls ignore my big belly!)

At Senayan City Mall (There, i looked slim again.. optic illusion from my dress..hehe)

Lissa, still super scared of mascot, or even patung!
That's the first peek at the pictures from Jakarta-Bandung trip..episode 1...

Yes, we are back from Jakarta and Bandung! The trip was so worth it..especially the shopping ;)
I'll update with the pix later on..

Now..i have to focus on our coming up 2nd baby. lately the Braxton Hicks false contractions keep on coming.. sometimes more than 3-4 hits per day. and everytime it happened, i feel like killing anyone who even smile at me! (can i sing any tony braxton song rite now to ease the pain? hehe)
How's Lissa doing? very very very demanding.. She would throw herself out if we didnt give what she wants. and also, an attention seeker! She would stand in front of tv, blocking everyone, just so people look at her. She would also did some funny faces, or sound just so people laugh at her.. cute, adorable, yet sometime very tiring.. Whenever she wants to drink milk, she would look for me. When she sleeps, she will hold my hand with the bracelet. if not, she would scream her lung out. i couldnt turn my back on her. which means i have to sleep on one side the whole nite. equals to a very major cramp to one side of my leg! Lissa...Lissa... Her abah even told her that "tinggal sebulan je lagi Lissa nak bermanja.. manja la sepuas2 nye.." and definitely, that's what she's doing right now!
Lissa.. Lissa... Lissa....
