Shanghai, My First Free Trip

Alhamdulillah.
My hard work paid off.
As i wrote to you back in January when the package has just open for all (click here to read), the aim was for me to try to achieve the first ever FREE trip offered by company.
Alhamdulillah.
it pays off.
along with guidance and help from my leader, Shaliza Aziz, i finally managed to get it.

Those of you who are wondering what this is all about.. let me explain to you.

I am currently doing a part time business.
under a group called GLAM (Green Leaders Academy Malaysia)
This is a teamwork effort.
and apart from getting big bonus monthly (i'm talking about RMx,xxx to RMxxx, xxx), we also getting Fully Sponsored Oversea Trip 3 times per year and Car Fund (to pay your luxury car).

It is not about money all the way. It is about the future. Future of us, our family, our kids. God knows what will be the cost of living in 10 years from now, 20 years from now, when our kids education fund can no longer depends on PTPTN or scholarship. These are when you need all the savings you've got.

Now, lets talk about my first FREE trip sponsored by company.
It is to SHANGHAI, the Shopping Paradise!

We are going there for 5 days and 4 nights, somewhere in September this year. InsyaAllah, i'll be going along with my leaders and my husband.

Lets read 5 fun facts about Shanghai:

1. Shopping paradise

Shanghai has more commercial goods than anywhere in China outside of Hong Kong, making it one of the top shopping centers of Asia. Shopaholics especially love to explore the markets of Nanjing Road, the city’s busiest and most popular shopping area, with its various local goods, cheap rates, and awesome sales. If you prefer more high-end stuff, the west end part of Nanjing Road as well as other commercial centers in the city can give you just that.

2. Glittering city

Shanghai at night is one sight to behold. Rivaling the glitz of Western capitals like Paris and New York, the city at night is breathtakingly incredible with all the bright and colorful lights and structures, not to mention the fancy, larger than lifeChinese characters sparkling about. Every night in the city gives you the chance to watch it slowly light up into one of the most vivid destinations in the world.

3. Solar Eclipse 2009

A historic act of nature in the form of a total solar eclipse happened on July 22, 2009, and one of the lucky cities to witness and celebrate it was Shanghai. After all, this eclipse is only the longest total solar eclipse in over a century. The path of the moon’s shadow began in India and crossed through Nepal, Bangladesh and China.

4. Venues come and go.

If there’s anything constant about Shanghai, it’s that it’s constantly changing. Businesses are often closing, opening, and moving. Make sure you’re updated with your targeted destinations and establishments by checking online and asking information from your hotel.

5. Sweet tooth

People in Shanghai favor the sweet and this is obvious in the dishes they prepare. It is said that more sugar is used in Shanghai than in any other part of China. Sweets lovers will no doubt love the city’s gastronomic treats.
Oh, cant wait for the trip.
